Dan Moore
Dan Moore is an artist based in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. Dan began painting in 1985 as a hobby and over the past 40 years has honed his technique. Dan lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba until 1998 when he and his family moved north. Dan spent the next 10 plus years living in Nunavut, and Northwest Territories before settling in the Yukon for the past 15 years. Dan has always been drawn to nature, the majesty of mountains, and the beauty of the outdoors. Dan has created nummerous landscape painting that have sold across Canada, he now has concentrated of capturing the magic of the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights)in his art. The time spent living in Northwest Territories and Yukon have given him first hand viewing of this magical phenomena. Dan has created numerous painting of the Aurora with a backdrop of the majestic Yukon mountains. All painting use oil paints and use canvas, or wood slabs.
